By asking you lots of questions, listening to your concerns including yes, your budget, and then probably sending you home with an array of samples to try. Because the ‘best’ food is the one that best meets your needs.

A pet’s gotta eat – and Tail Waggin’ is here to help you make sure the food bowl is always full. We know there are days you don’t feel like leaving your place. For those lazy or bad weather days, you can find our most popular offerings for purchase online with next-day delivery within a five-mile radius of our store location. Need something sooner? You can find a lot of our products on DoorDash. Don’t see what you need? Give us a call. We are adding new items to our online store weekly – so, if we have it in-store, we will make sure you get it.

There’s no one-size-fits-all diet for dogs or cats – which is why we offer a variety of dry kibble, canned and frozen foods. Plus natural supplements like pumpkin and goats’ milk. For dog treats you’ll find everything from training to big birthday cookies. For cats, the treat selection includes dental treats, the popular Inaba Churu pops and catnip. And for new arrivals, check off all your needs with beds, crates, bowls, including water pumps for cats and much more.

After 10 years, we’ve seen a lot and can give great advice on the best pet food – and much more. With owners Merrie and Alan manning the sales floor almost daily from the beginning. In that time, we’ve seen trends and fads come and go, and we’ve learned a lot about what usually works. We love helping pet parents find the perfect solution to whatever problem they are facing.
The Owners
Meet Merrie & Alan
In 2013, Merrie and Alan moved to Kansas City to escape corporate life and focus on what they loved: their pets. Now, 10 years and counting, they still love sharing their passion for providing the best for those four-legged friends who give so much in return.
The things that made the store work in the early days are still true today. Most days you’ll still find Alan and Merrie running the register, doling out treats and greeting new customers like old friends. They’ve seen fads come and go and they’ve learned this: the best diet for your pet isn’t necessarily the most expensive.
